After walking through Nakazakicho, I started searching for lunch.
Today’s destination: okonomiyaki.
For the walk through Nakazakicho before this meal, please see the article below.

After exploring Nakazakicho, I stopped by Momotaro for okonomiyaki.
Rich sauce, dancing bonito flakes, and Osaka’s lively food culture all came together on the hot plate.
Since I was in Osaka, I wanted to eat okonomiyaki.
That was how the search began.
But although there were many restaurants, getting into one was not easy.
Long lines formed in front of popular places.
The waiting lists were already filled with names.
Some restaurants had empty seats.
Yet somehow, I hesitated to enter them.
Choosing where to eat while traveling is difficult.
Expect too much, and you may be disappointed.
Compromise too much, and you may regret it.
I was also drawn to smaller independent restaurants.
But entering alone required a little courage.
In the end, I chose a well-known chain restaurant with good reviews.
The waiting time was about thirty minutes.
In Osaka, that may actually be considered short.
Thinking about it again,
okonomiyaki is surprisingly time-consuming food.
It must be cooked after ordering.
Carried to the table.
Then eaten slowly.
It is not the kind of meal with quick turnover.
Still, one thing impressed me.
At Momotaro, they take your order while you are waiting outside.
Once I was seated, the okonomiyaki arrived almost immediately.
Apparently, they had already started cooking it while I was waiting.
Because okonomiyaki is not fast food, the efficiency surprised me.
It felt like a very Osaka-style solution from a city built on business and movement.
The okonomiyaki itself had a bold flavor.
Sweet sauce.
Savory, fragrant batter.
Plenty of ingredients.
It was not light food.
And yet, it left a strangely satisfying feeling.
I walked through Osaka.
I observed Osaka.
And finally, I ate Osaka.
That was the kind of lunch it became.
Tomorrow, ordinary life begins again.
Different from quiet Kyoto.
Different from travel-filled Osaka.
Back to a world moving faster than my thoughts can keep up with.
